CarpetUp uses a Truck Mounted hot water extraction cleaning system that offers many advantages over portable cleaning machines:
- With a Truck Mounted system, the technician brings into your home or business a minimal amount of hoses which ensures less mess. Portable machines are often noisy, smelly and expel humidity into your air. Portable tanks need to be filled and refilled as the cleaning progresses, which can be cumbersome and time consuming.
- Using a Truck Mounted steam cleaning process means your clean time will be less. Portable machines use a lot of cleaning solutions; take a lot more time to use and the carpet takes a lot longer to dry, often up to 8 to 10 hours. Because Truck Mounts have much more vacuum power than portables, the vacuum is powerful enough to have most carpets dry in 4-6 hours or less. Better vacuum suction also means better extraction of soil and dust and ensures that most of the water and cleaning solution is extracted from the carpet.
- The water a portable uses can only be as hot as your tap water, usually about 120 degrees. It’s a fact that for every 18 degree over 118 degrees the chemical action of the cleaning solution doubles. The water in a Truck Mount is 200 degrees or hotter which helps to break down grease, soil and other spots more effectively. This allows the technicians to use less cleaning solutions which is better for you and the environment.
- In order for a technician to effectively eliminate the cleaning solution from your carpet, the carpet should be rinsed at 300-400 PSI which the Truck Mount is capable of and a portable is not. A higher PSI helps to ensure a better removal of all dirt and oils.
In conclusion, we at CarpetUp feel that Truck Mounts offer a better clean. Hotter water, higher water pressure and better vacuum suction equates to a better clean.
